Klitgaarden is located in Skallerup Klit, almost
10 kilometres from Hjørring.
We are located in the beautiful dune landscape just
1 kilometre from Nørlev Beach.
You can drive a car all the way down to the beach.
The experiences are close by,
whether it's nature experiences, like forest and beach,
historicalattractions, or city life that has one's interest.
Lønstrup
A few kilometres from us is the small fishing village Lønstrup,
known for its atmospheric urban environment, as well as
a rich selection of handicrafts.
Rubjerg Knot Lighthouse
Rubjerg Knude is the highest and most significant part of the
approximately 15 km. long coastal slope, called Lønstrup Klint,
between Lønstrup and Løkken. The highest point at Rubjerg
50 meters regular cliff and about 40 meters dune built by
fly sand. The dune formation has been particularly strong in
the last Fifty years. This is evident at Rubjerg Knude Lighthouse,
where the dune is as tall as the lighthouse.
The lighthouse was moved 90 meters in 2020, otherwise it would
have swept into the sea. It was the local bricklayer from
Lønstrup "Murer Kjeld" who

Fårup Sommerland
Fårup Sommerland is a large amusement park on 90 hectares.
The park itself with rides, walkways, eateries and
parking spaces take up well over half.

picnic atmosphere in the middle of
the tall, beautiful trees.
North Sea Oceanarium
Since its opening in 1984, the North Sea Museum has been one
of the Denmark's main tourist attractions. Oceanarium inaugurated
a gigantic aquarium with 4.5 million litres of water in 1998.
The centre contains large and small aquariums with
about 60 different species of fish from the North Sea,
exciting exhibitions, a large outdoor sealarium and daily
